Answer How to set List Administration ? 

    Answer Following are the steps to set List Administration:
  • Login to the web-based email client using through the URL http://www.sitename.ext:8383 using your Administrative login and password (Here sitename.ext stands for the name of your website.)
  • Select List Administration from the Administrative Account Options
  • To create a new list, fill in the information in the below text box and click on the Create button.
        (a) NAME: ( Enter any List name id which you want to use for e.g., newsletter)
        (b) DESCRIPTION: ( Enter the Description of the list you will generate)
        (c) ADMINISTRATOR: (Enter the userid which will act as the Administrator)
  • After creation of the list it will go to the next screen where the header will be the "NAME" specified in the NAME field.
  • To Add the Email id list for the created List Name, type in the email id in the text box provided in the right side under Modify List User Address List & then click on button.
  • It will go to the next screen with a header List Maintenance Status with a message Address added successfully to users list & with links
        (a)" NAME" List
        (b) List Administration
  • Repeat this step for all the email ids you want to add by clicking the "NAME" list link which you created.
            OR
            Click on "List Administrator" link if you want to add a new list.
    All the email ids entered will appear under Modify List User Address List box.
            OR
            All the List ids entered will appear under List Administration Screen.
    To Set the List Option for a specific "List Name" (Right side Screen List Options )
        (a) Check the option button as per you want to set
            Anyone can post
            Only Subscribers can post
            Only Moderator can post
        (b) Check the Check Boxes as per you want
            Reply to List
            Disable List Command
            Disable Subscriptions (Private List)
            Enable Digest Mode
            Enable Posters List
            Enable Subject Modification (Enter the Subject Header you want in the text box provide below Subject Modification)
            Enable Password (Enter the password you want in the text box provide below Enable Password)
            Enable Header (Header.txt) (For setting a header.Txt go to Step 12)
            Enable Trailer (Trailer.txt) (For setting a Trailer.Txt go to Step 13)
            Allow Unsubscribe based on subject line
        (c) Enter the number in the text box provided below the Maximum message size:
        (d) Enter the number in the text box provided below the Number of Recipients per Message:
        (e) Click on the Button
  • If you wish to add a large number of users in the mailing list and don't want to repeat the task of adding each and every id, create a file with the name users.lst and add all the addresses in the file. Each address should be on a separate line. Upload the users.lst file in the Special -> lists -> list_name directory. Here list_name stands for the name of the list that you have created. list_name is the name of the directory which contains all the files related to the list that you have created.
